On the afternoon of October 16th, Tsinghua University and municipal universities joint-construction programs on industrial engineering symposium was hosted by IE Department at its meeting room. All the municipal universities having industrial engineering programs delegated their Deans, Department Head or Directors of teaching affairs to attend the symposium. 

Prof. Wei Zhang, Vice Head of IE Department, who is in charge of teaching affairs, made an introduction of the department’s teaching work and achievements since its foundation. The attendance visited the department’s logistics lab, human factors engineering lab and Technical Innovation Lab. They all spoke highly of the lab construction and practical teaching work. 

The participants from Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing Materials Institute, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Beijing Union University and Beijing Information Science & Technology University had discussed topics of IE program’s innovative development, curriculum and teaching reform, academic resources share, mutual assistance of scientific research and student cultivation. Many consensuses were made and regular communication and development mechanism were established, which would jointly promote the municipal universities’ IE teaching development.
